SLP 2.2.2.2. SIMULACRO LISTENING TEST 2

   Seguimos con ejercicios de comprensión oral. Os traigo otro simulacro de examen de comprensión oral que he preparado para nivel funcional de inglés o SLP 2, el famoso listening. Para los descubridores de América, los de Tierra y su Cambridge, pues también os puede ayudar algo pero la estructura del examen de listening del B1/B2 de Cambridge es distinta. Cuando tenga tiempo a ver si puedo empezar a colgar algo sobre exámenes de Cambridge. No obstante para los de las Academias puede que os resulte útil si aún os examináis con formato SLP. 

    Desarrollar un buen oído para el inglés requiere constancia y, sobre todo, enfrentarse a audios con el nivel de exigencia adecuado. Para continuar con tu preparación de la oposición, hoy te traigo un nuevo ejercicio práctico adaptado a los criterios del perfil lingüístico SLP 2. Como ya sabrás, el secreto para dominar esta prueba no es memorizar listas de palabras fijas, sino acostumbrar al cerebro a captar la intención del hablante y a extraer datos específicos bajo la presión del tiempo en contextos cotidianos o profesionales.

1.         ¿Qué destrezas específicas evalúa el tribunal en este nivel?

En el nivel funcional del SLP, el audio simula situaciones de la vida real donde un profesional debe comprender instrucciones claras pero detalladas. El formato no busca confundirte con tecnicismos abstractos, sino evaluar si eres capaz de:  

• Identificar el motivo principal de un mensaje, llamada telefónica, conversación formal o anuncio público.
• Distinguir entre hechos reales y opiniones expresadas por los interlocutores.
• Anotar correctamente información cuantitativa (cantidades, porcentajes, precios o referencias horarias).
• Seguir el hilo de una argumentación sencilla en una reunión de trabajo o un reportaje de actualidad.

2.         Vocabulario de apoyo para entrenar el oído

En las grabaciones genéricas de nivel B1/B2, suelen repetirse expresiones que marcan el ritmo de la conversación. Familiarizarte con ellas te ayudará a predecir cuándo viene una respuesta clave o una trampa en el examen:

• Instead of (En lugar de): Indica un cambio de planes o una alternativa, ideal para preguntas trampa sobre horarios o transportes.
• Therefore (Por lo tanto): Introduce la consecuencia o el resultado de una situación analizada, donde suele esconderse la solución del test.
• Actually / As a matter of fact (De hecho / En realidad): Se usa para corregir una información previa; los exámenes suelen preguntar precisamente por el dato corregido.
• In spite of / Despite (A pesar de): Introduce una concesión o dificultad superada que define la actitud del hablante.

3.         Estrategia recomendada para resolver el cuestionario

• Aprovecha el tiempo de lectura: Antes de que empiece a sonar el audio, lee rápido y subraya las palabras clave de las preguntas. Eso te dirá exactamente a qué términos prestar atención.
• Cuidado con la paráfrasis: Raramente escucharás en el audio la misma palabra exacta que viene en la opción correcta del examen; el tribunal prefiere utilizar sinónimos.
• Mantén la calma si te pierdes: si no entiendes una frase no te estanques. Sigue escuchando para no perder el hilo de las siguientes preguntas del simulacro.
